Install
One command sets up Codex along with any other AI tools on this machine:atlaso setup and add it.
One install covers both Codex CLI and Codex Desktop — they share ~/.codex,
so you don’t set them up separately.

In the Codex CLI:Codex Desktop installs the same plugin through its marketplace UI.
Capabilities are identical either way — the CLI just also links the device and
sets up your other tools in one pass.
What it wires
Known issue: Codex Desktop going quiet
A known Codex Desktop issue can stop plugin hooks from firing after certain updates — memory silently stops. SetATLASO_DEBUG=1 in your environment to
see whether hooks are running; if they aren’t, reinstall the plugin from the
marketplace. Codex CLI is unaffected.
